Rape

According to Section 118 of the Crimes Ordinance, rape is defined as any man engaging in sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent, and is a criminal offense with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. For example, a man:
  1. Engages in sexual intercourse with a woman who does not consent
  2. Knows the woman does not consent or disregards her lack of consent or willingness

Indecent Assault

According to Section 122 of the Crimes Ordinance, indecent assault includes various acts of varying severity, from physical touching to non-penile penetration. It is a criminal offense with a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment. For example, touching another person’s genitals without consent or intentionally committing indecent acts against the victim.
